The Vaporesso GEN SE 80W Starter Kit strips the GEN line down to what most vapers actually use day to day. A single 18650 battery and an aluminium-alloy chassis keep it light and genuinely pocketable — a real difference from the dual-battery mods in the same family — while the AXON chipset still delivers a full 5–80W range with VW and Pulse modes. A 0.96″ TFT color screen with customisable interface themes handles the readout, and a lock switch prevents accidental firing in a bag or pocket. The kit pairs with the iTank T, which moves both the fill port and the airflow to the top of the tank — the single most effective change a sub-ohm tank can make against leaking, since it removes the path e-liquid normally takes down through bottom airflow slots. A sliding top-fill cover opens with a push, and the tank’s self-circulating design cuts condensation buildup. Runs the GTi mesh coil platform with COREX 2.0 heating, shipping with a 0.2Ω coil pre-installed and a 0.4Ω spare, and finishes with an 810 drip tip and a threaded 510 connection so you can fit other tanks if you want.

A: No. You’ll need one high-amp 18650 battery, sold separately, from a reputable manufacturer. Never use a cell with a torn or damaged wrap, and don’t carry loose batteries in a pocket with keys or coins.

Q: What capacity is the tank?

A: The iTank T ships with a 3mL standard glass fitted and a 6mL bubble glass in the box. Swap to the bubble glass if you want fewer refills; keep the standard glass if you prefer a slimmer profile.

Q: What’s the difference between the two included coils?

A: The GTi 0.2Ω runs at 60–75W with heavier vapor and a warmer draw. The GTi 0.4Ω runs at 50–60W, using less battery and e-liquid while keeping flavor clarity. On a single 18650, the 0.4Ω will noticeably extend how long you go between charges.

Q: Why does top airflow matter?

A: In bottom-airflow tanks, e-liquid works its way down through the airflow slots and out of the base — that’s where most tank leaks come from. Putting both the fill port and the airflow at the top removes that path entirely.

Q: What is Pulse mode?

A: Instead of firing continuously, Pulse delivers power in rapid on-off bursts. This keeps the coil from over-saturating with heat during longer draws, which holds flavor steadier and reduces the risk of dry hits.

Q: How is this different from the GEN 80S?

A: Both are single-18650 80W mods with the AXON chipset. The GEN SE pairs with the iTank T (top airflow, top fill), while the GEN 80S ships with the standard iTank (5mL, bottom airflow). If leaking has been a problem for you, the SE’s tank is the better pairing.

Q: Can I use a different tank?

A: Yes. The threaded 510 connection accepts standard tanks. Just keep within the 80W output ceiling — higher-wattage coils will fit but won’t get enough power to perform.

Q: What e-liquid should I use?

A: High-VG freebase e-liquid, typically 70VG/30PG, at low nicotine strength — usually 3mg or 6mg. Do not use nicotine salts or high-nicotine e-liquid in a sub-ohm setup at these wattages; nicotine delivery would be far too harsh.
